Allergy Check
Do you suffer from allergy symptoms or food intolerances?
One in four Swiss people suffer from allergic symptoms such as frequent sneezing, itching, a stuffy or runny nose, burning eyes, breathing difficulties, or a rash.
In the case of an allergy, the immune system reacts hypersensitively to otherwise harmless foreign substances (allergens) such as plant pollen or certain foods. Allergies usually begin in childhood or adolescence and often persist throughout life. Symptoms are sometimes mild, but can also be very distressing and limit daily life. A tendency toward allergies is often hereditary. Whether this actually develops into an allergy depends, among other things, on environmental factors. Factors such as air pollution and cigarette smoke can increase the likelihood of allergies and related conditions like asthma.
An allergy test at our pharmacy can determine whether you have an allergy and to what.
The allergy test takes between 20 and 30 minutes. A small blood sample from your finger is used to test for ten common inhalant allergens. The blood test looks for antibodies against potential allergens in your blood.
Please make an appointment in advance so we can prepare for the test.
Allergy Check incl. consultation: CHF 69.
