Therapeutic fasting

Do you want to do something good for your body?

Fasting is one of the oldest methods of cleansing the body. However, it was only rediscovered as a therapeutic treatment at the end of the 19th century. Fasting is the voluntary abstinence from food and luxury foods for a limited period of time (5 days to 5 weeks). When fasting, it is important to drink plenty of fluids, have regular bowel movements, and get sufficient exercise and relaxation. Before starting the fast, the bowels are cleansed. Bitter or Glauber's salt or an enema can be used for this purpose. During therapeutic fasting, the fasting person does not consume any solid food. In addition, coffee, black tea, nicotine, and alcohol are usually avoided. Juice fasting: Juice fasting is a gentler form of fasting. In addition to 2 liters of fluid per day, the fasting person consumes about 1 to 1.5 liters of juice. This should consist of fruit and vegetables and should not be sweetened. The juice is drunk in small sips throughout the day. The advantage of juice fasting is that it provides the body with valuable nutrients. Juice fasting weeks are available at our pharmacy.
